Is there really no monthly subscription?+
No subscription, no per-member cost, no setup fee. StudioDash is free to use until you start processing real money through the platform. If you never take payments through us, you never pay us.
How does the 1% fee work?+
When a member pays you for a membership, class pack, or product, Stripe processes the payment and we take a 1% application fee on top of standard Stripe processing. The remainder goes straight to your bank account. The cap is 49 per month per gym, so once we have collected 49 in fees in a calendar month, the rest of that month is free.
What about Stripe processing fees?+
Stripe charges their standard rate (typically 2.9% + $0.30 in the US) directly. We do not mark that up. You can see the exact breakdown on every transaction in your Stripe dashboard.
Do you charge for cash or in-person payments?+
No. Our 1% only applies to payments processed through Stripe. Cash, checks, and Venmo-style transfers tracked in the platform are free.
What if I just want to use the website builder and member app, not payments?+
That works. You can run the entire StudioDash platform without connecting Stripe and never pay a cent. You will not be able to take online payments, but scheduling, check-in, member management, and your gym website all work.
Are there any other fees later?+
No hidden tier upgrades, no overage charges, no per-feature pricing. The 1% with the 49/month cap is the entire pricing model.
